A Comparison of Languages in India - Free

The three important ancient religions of India, Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism, have coexisted among each other for many centuries. Each religion is very similar in nature and they have been said to influence each other. Jainism was once considered to be an extension of Hinduism or Buddhism, but it now established as a separate religion of India and not directly connected with any other religion. The three main beliefs are non-violent behavior, the law of karma, and reincarnation all coincide with each other to prepare an individual for their next life.

Each of the three religions shares similar philosophical beliefs. Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism all value non-violent behavior, thoughts and daily lifestyle. This belief in inner-piece or non-violent behavior is called “Samsara” and it is what drives believers to not harm others. The law of karma is one of the main components of all three religions, which is the belief that an individual’s actions in this life will affect his/her next life, whether that is positively or negatively. Lastly, believers of Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism have a firm belief in reincarnation that essentially revolves in a circle of birth, life, and then followed by rebirth. The life an individual’s experience in his/her rebirth is ultimately determined by their karma from the previous life. Believers in Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism share beliefs of non-violent behavior, the law of karma, and reincarnation in order to prepare for an individual for the next life.

The three main beliefs of Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism share a common goal to spread their teachings throughout the world in the anticipation that violence and poverty can be abolished, while allowing everyone to live in peace and harmony. Devotion to remain authentic and diligently follow the traditions are crucial because believers of Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism are careful not to do anything that would be considered unlawful by their leader. These goals taught by each religion are known as “Dharma” and are the essential way of being. The believers of Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism obtain the goals by living a life in accordance to following the teachings of the religions.

In conclusion, Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism represent three religions of classical India and are influential in the convergence and divergence on religious components of religion such as doctrine, principles, social order, and spiritual experiences. While all three share many of the same core beliefs, it is important to note that each religion is structured differently and each exhibits unique characteristics. Nevertheless, Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism, are important influences seen throughout Indian history and also in other areas such as China and Southern Asia.
